Measuring
Wheel
A Wheel which calibrates the measurement of "feet" or "12
inches". The wheel should have an adjustable handle that will extend
out to allow measurements as the operator walks in the area and
pushes the wheel as they move forward.
The Measuring Wheel meter records and calibrates the feet as you
walk including keep a running total of measures.
Read the measurement displayed during, while and at the end of your
area of measure. The Measuring Wheel does all the calculations, you
record it to documentation.
Upon the completion of measurement, you simply and easily press a
reset button. The measure wheel will begin once again at the start
of zero in readiness for the next set of measurements.
The Measure Wheel Device is great when you want to measure rooms,
concrete slabs, turf, driveways, sidewalks, lawn and landscaping
areas, gardens, and any interior or exterior layout requiring
structural accurate measurements.

Who uses
Measuring Wheels?
Appraiser, Estimator,
Engineer, Architect, Contractor, Surveyor, Banker, Realtor, and
anyone that is interested in measuring large distances in a short
period of time.
What types of Measuring Wheels/Devices are there?
For simplicity I will
mention two basic types of Measuring Wheels.
(1) A MECHANICAL WHEEL - that is not reliant upon batteries
and is simple to operate. However, these type measuring wheels
normally offer a single unit of measure per instance.
Please consider that when using a mechanical wheel you will need to
decide and purchase the product that meets the units of measure that
you desire
(2) ELECTRONIC WHEEL
- will use batteries and can record multiple units of measure all in
a single wheel. You should also make sure to have replacement
batteries on hand when batteries die.
You can typically push a button to select which unit of measure you
want to measure in. This setting can be switched to your liking
depending on the measuring units you want to perform. This is a
benefit of an electronic measuring wheel.
Considerations for
purchasing measuring wheels.
Size of wheel - There
are 3 basic sizes to consider.
1) 06 inch model
2) 10 inch model
3) 12 inch model
Look for easy to read rugged and extended handle.
You can save space by looking for a measuring wheel where the
handles collapse.
Time saving features such as 'adds in forward' and 'subtracts
reverse' movement.
The units of measure vary in mechanical wheel versus an electronic
wheel. |
